Anita Kushen vetted manuscripts for new authors in her spare time for almost twenty years while she owned and ran three businesses, taught ESL for the US Army and the state of Texas, worked as a makeup person for Summer Stock and manned Rape Crisis and Suicide Hotlines. She slowed down long enough to have two beautiful sons and raised them while teaching at Mile High Academy in Denver and Arapahoe Community College in Littleton, Colorado.

One day she awoke to two grown boys with lives of their own and asked herself....."now what?" and AKA Anita Kushen & Associates, Inc. was born. She is looking for new and established authors in the areas of romance, fantasy, mystery, mainstream and nonfiction (especially historical nonfiction).

AKA Anita Kushen and Associates welcomes Ange Tysdal to the agency. Ange Tysdal holds a degree in English and Creative Writing, Sociology, and attended law school at Gonzaga University. She is the former managing editor of Marginalia literary magazine. She owns and edits In the Mist, an outdoor literary magazine for women. When Ange is not at her desk, she's outside mountain biking, kayaking, or rock climbing.
